South Bend Community Re-entry Center (RCF) St. Joseph County, Indiana

The South Bend Community Re-entry Center opened in Indiana in 1975. The Indiana Department of Corrections (DOC) runs the South Bend Community Re-entry Center. The facility offers a release program component and re-entry education program component to aid long-term incarcerated inmates.

Visitation Hours:

The minimum visiting hours in Department of Correction facilities for Minimum Security Adult Facilities are Two evenings per week after 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekends.

Visitors may hug and kiss inmates at the beginning and end of contact visits. Cell phones are not permitted in the visiting area. Every visitor is subject to being searched before their visit. Visitors that are minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All visitors must present a valid, government issued ID card to be permitted to visit an inmate.

The webpage also displays the facility the inmate is currently being housed in, their earliest possible release date, and the date they are expected to be released. The inmate’s charges, term length and county of conviction are also given under the sentence information section of their profile.
