Harrison County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Harrison County Jail has a capacity of 213 beds, some of which were added in 2020. There are 198 general population beds, some of which can be used for administrative or disciplinary segregation or protective custody. There are also 14 fixed beds in intake holding, a padded cell, medical isolation cell, and a large intake holding cell for intoxicated or overflow inmates. 38 of the total beds are for use by the female inmate population. The Harrison County Jail currently employs a Jail Commander, 3 Lieutenants, 3 Sergeants, 3 Corporals, 20 Officers, and a Registered Nurse.

The inmate roster may be searched online. It includes inmates’ identifying information, earliest possible release date, and sentencing details. Mugshots are not available.

How to Send Mail or Package

All mail to inmates should be sent through the US Postal Service and must include the sender’s full name and physical return address. Personal mail to inmates should be addressed to:

Books and magazines must be mailed directly from a publisher, not from individuals.

Funds may be added to inmate commissary accounts online through vendengine.com or by calling 1-855-836-3364. Credit or debit cards are accepted and the inmate’s name and Inmate number are required for deposits. Inmate phone time may be purchased through the Securus Technologies website.

Visitation Hours

Visitation at the Harrison County Jail is managed by Securus Technologies. All visits are held by video and last 20 minutes. They may be onsite or remote. One onsite visit a week is free.Visits may be attended by up to 3 adults and 1 child.

Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Visits are manually approved by jail staff once every 24 hours. All other scheduling and billing is handled by Securus. To schedule visits, visitors must make an account online. Accounts require a valid photo ID and two photos of the visitor’s face.
