Delaware County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Delaware County Jail is located in Muncie, Indiana. The facility was opened in 1992 with 120, which were later double bunked to bring the capacity to 221 beds. The average inmate population ranges from 260 to nearly 300. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division employs 58 full-time officers. Capt. Kurt Walthour is the current Jail Commander.

The jail’s roster is online and includes inmates’ names, numbers, booking and release dates, and bond amount. It doesn’t not include mugshots.

How to Send Money

Inmate commissary funds are operated by Swanson Services Corporation. A kiosk in the lobby accepts cash or credit cards and requires the inmate’s identification number for deposits. Money is not accepted at the lobby window and cannot be sent through the mail.
