Jennings County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Jennings County Jail is located in North Vernon, Indiana, and operated by the local Sheriff’s Office. The current facility was built in 2001. It has 156 beds and the ability to add 36 more to large pods in a dorm-style setting, which could bring the capacity to 180. The rated capacity is 144. In 2021, the average daily inmate population was 138. The current Jail Commander is Natasha Goins.

How to Send Money

Money may be deposited into inmates’ commissary accounts online at JailATM or in the lobby while visiting an inmate. Money orders may also be mailed to inmates.

Visitation Hours

Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Only 2 visitors are allowed at one time in the visitation area. Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
