The Putnamville Correctional Facility opened in Indiana in 1914. The Indiana Department of Corrections (DOC) runs the Putnamville Correctional Facility. Visitation Hours:
Visitation is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Visitors must arrive at the facility prior to 2:00 p.m.
Putnamville Correctional Facility uses non-aggressive canines as part of the entrance shakedown procedures.Visitors may have a two hour visit – visits must be no less than 1 hour. To visit an offender, the visitor must be on the offender’s visiting list. Visitors that are under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All visitors must present a valid, government issued ID card to be permitted to visit an inmate. Visitors must be signed in for a minimum of 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the time that visitation hours end.
