How to Send Mail or Package

All personal mail sent to inmates is required to be sent using the US Postal Service. The sender’s full name and return address must be included on all mail. Photographs must not exceed 4×6, be Polaroids, or include suggestive images. Greeting cards must not contain glitter, glue, or sound-making devices. Other prohibited items include: mail decorated with stickers, glitter, glue, lipstick, perfume or written in colored ink, colored pencil, marker, paint or crayon; internet printouts, book or magazine pages, newspaper articles, games or copies of games from a book, the internet, or a newspaper. Mail should be addressed to:

To put money on an inmate’s account for commissary items or phone minutes, you may bring in cash or a credit card and use

Cash or credit cards may be used to add money to an inmate’s commissary or phone account using the machine in the lobby of the Daviess County Security Center. You must know the inmate’s name. Money may also be placed in an inmate’s account online at JailATM.com.

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed to have one onsite visit of 20 minutes each week. Onsite visits may be scheduled Monday – Sunday 8AM-8PM. Up to 2 adults can visit and each must register with a photo ID or birth certificate. Visitors under 18 must either have proof they are married to the inmate or be immediate family members accompanied by their parent, grandparent or legal guardian. Visitors should leave personal items, coats, purses, umbrellas, cell phones, etc. in their cars. No photographs, cell phones or audio/video equipment are allowed in the visitation area.

Inmates may also have an unlimited number of video visits, which cost 20 cents/minute. These visits may be scheduled Monday – Sunday from 7AM-9PM.
