Hamilton County Jail Information and Inmate Search

The Hamilton County Jail is located in Noblesville, Indiana. It is managed by the local Sheriff’s Office. Josh Carey is the current Jail Commander.

The current jail roster may be browsed or searched online. Information includes inmates’ names, gender, subject number, scheduled release date, and mugshot. Selecting any inmate provides more information, including charge descriptions, offense dates, arresting agency, and docket number. It also includes an enlarged mugshot.

How to Send Mail or Package

Inmates’ personal mail is scanned and digitally delivered via the jail tablet’s “Facility Messages” app. All mail should include the sender’s full name and physical address. Mail should be addressed to:

Money may be added to inmates’ accounts online at gettingout.com or at a kiosk in the jail lobby. The kiosk will accept cash or credit cards. The recipient’s prisoner identification number is needed to make this deposit. Money is not accepted at the lobby window, nor may cash or money orders sent through the mail. Visitation Hours

Video visits with inmates are held between 7am -11am and 1pm – 4:30pm. Visits are 30 minutes long and scheduled on the hour or half-hour. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours and up to 1 week in advance on the Telmate website or at the kiosk in the lobby. Visits may not be scheduled by phone, unless pre-approved by the Jail Commander. One adult and 2 children (under the age of 18) may attend each visit. There may be a charge for visiting, which is determined by Telmate, the company running the visitation system. Contact them with questions at 866-516-0115.

Hamilton County Public Records Information

The Hamilton County Clerk’s Office provides a Clerk Records Request portal online. To request records, including criminal and other records from the Sheriff’s Office, begin by identifying the type of record being requested (i.e. “criminal” or “other”) and the reason motivating the request. Then provide the requestor’s name and contact information and a detailed description of the record requested. Under the Indiana Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the public can receive copies of public records from any government agency, including the Sheriff’s Office, for a fee of $.10 per page copied.
