Johnson County Jail Information and Inmate Search
Johnson County Jail is a correctional facility located in Franklin, Indiana. It is operated by the local Sheriff’s Office, which established a dedicated corrections division in the early 1990s in order to allow Merit Deputies to focus on road patrol in unincorporated areas rather than jail duties. The current Jail Division Commander is Major Matthew Rhinehart. The Jail Matron is Abby Hamilton. The Matron supervises female inmates and oversees the Kitchen, Medical Office, Jail Programs, Commissary, and grievances from inmates. Currently, the jail restricts inmates’ activities daily from 5:00am to 7:00am, 11:00am to 1:00pm, and 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
