How to Send Money

Funds may be added to an inmates’ account in person by dropping off cash in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office or by mailing money orders to:

Visitation Hours

Inmates are allowed one visit each week. Visits last one hour. Up to 4 people may attend each visit, but only 2 are allowed to visit at one time. Visitors can swap places at the 30 minute mark of the visit or before. Visitors must be 18 years or older and have a valid state ID. They must sign in at the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office before the start of visiting hours. Visitation Days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Male inmates may be visited from 2-3pm and 6-7pm. Female inmates may be visited from 3-4pm and 7-8pm.

Inmates may have one video visit each week. There is a video kiosk in the lobby. It is operated by InmatesSales. Video visits may be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8am and 11am or 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

Brown County is located in south central Indiana and has an area of 316.22 square miles. As of the 2020 Census, Brown had a population of 15,475. Nashville is the county seat and only incorporated town in the county.
